OUR "MUST"

Creme de cafe minuitCrème de Café Minuit

This month we have chosen to highlight Crème de Café Minuit, a product created and bottled in Quebec. Distributed by Mosaiq Inc. in partnership with Maison Chemineaud Frère (founded in 1826 in Paris, France), this captivating, sumptuous cream is a luscious mix of coffee and aged brandy. It quickly made its mark on the international scene, winning the 2007 bronze medal at one of the industry’s most prestigious competitions – The San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Straight up or on the rocks, in a cocktail or used in a desert, this velvety mix of coffee-flavoured cream and brandy is guaranteed to make an impression on everyone.

COCKTAIL SUGGESTION

This month we are proposing our Provençal Martini, an elegant and refreshing short drink that is perfect for sipping all evening long – in moderation, of course!

Provençal Martini

  • 1½ oz Blue Ice Vodka
  • ½ oz Martini Blanco Vermouth
  • ¼ oz Lavender Syrup
  • 2 oz White Cranberry Juice
  • 1 sprig of lavender

Making this cocktail requires a Boston shaker. Fill the metal part with ice and then add the vodka, the white vermouth, the lavender syrup and the white cranberry juice. Cover with the mixing glass and shake vigorously until the surface of the metal shaker becomes frosty. Pour the contents into a chilled martini glass and decorate with the sprig of lavender. Enjoy!

Metcha Flair!

Sam&Dave’s Japanese bar chain started up in 1988 with only one tiny location in Osaka. Today, with the explosion of Flair Bartending worldwide, Sam&Dave’s possesses 6 locations throughout Japan (Kyoto, Tokyo, Fukuoka, Umeda, Shinsaibashi and Nagahori) and is the biggest Japanese chain of entertainment bars. They offer 6 months to 1 year overseas contracts to American and European bartenders who wish to live an exotic and original experience in the land of the rising sun.
